A tool for navigating the sea of emotions.  At Agents of Spring, we believe that the sea of emotions we feel are complex and interrelated and we believe that humans can experience more than one emotion at any given time.
Facecards are a set of 12 unique cards (9.5cm x 15.5cm) that represent a range of emotions across two dimensions – arousal and valence. People often struggle to find words to describe how they feel about a moment, a brand, product or experience.  These cards can be used to help to facilitate those conversations using a visual stimulus to elicit more meaningful conversations.

Facecards

At Agents of Spring, we believe that the sea of emotions we feel are complex and interrelated and we believe that humans can experience more than one emotion at any given time.

Facecards are inspired by the work of Psychologist James Russell who developed the Circumplex Model of Emotions. Facecards are a set of different images that represent a range of emotions across two dimensions:

  • from low arousal to high arousal
  • from pleasant to unpleasant

People often struggle to find words to describe how they feel about a moment, a brand, product or experience.  These cards help to facilitate those conversations using a visual stimulus to elicit more meaningful conversations.

Each set of Facecards contains 12 unique image cards (each card is 14.5cm in length and 9 cm in width).  Use these cards to get people to select an image or several images that best represents how they feel about a brand, product, experience or interaction.

Great for anyone working with humans one-on-one or as a group: user experience researchers, service designers, market researchers, trainers, facilitators, psychologists.
